Travel by Motorcycle While You Can - Bert Boute

Bert Boute is, or was, a product designer. He’s now what you might call a nomad, traveling around the world on his Africa Twin motorcycle. In Bert’s family he’s not the black sheep, he’s not the odd one out, actually it was his parents that introduced him to the idea of exploring the world through travel beyond a vacation. In fact, Bert’s own grandparents are in their nineties and still travelling around in a camper van. And they told Bert to get out and experience travel while he can - before life gets him pinned down with responsibilities. Dr Chris Leatt Explains the Neck Brace for Motorcyclists

Just over 20 years ago, neurosurgeon and motorcyclist Dr Chris Leatt witnessed his friend and fellow rider die from a motorcycle related neck injury. Dr Leatt decided to find a solution to reduce neck injuries and three years later he sold his first neck brace and then formed his company LEATT which would go on to make body protection gear for motorcyclists and then a full range of rider gear and more. How a Free Motorcycle Changed Me Forever - Dustin Nere

Dustin Nere wasn’t interested in travel, he’d barely stepped foot out of the United States. Instead he did what he thought he was supposed to do, buy a house, get married. But, things started to change for Dustin when friends gave him a 2003 DR650 and he started going on short rides with them on weekends. Then came the overnight trips and riding the Backcountry Discovery Routes. After a divorce he had more time to ride, took a longer trip and then found himself hooked. Gibb River Road Adventure - Kimberly, Western Australia

In the North West of Australia, lays the Kimberly Wilderness area and that’s where the famous Gibb River Road is found. The Gibb River Road is part of the Savannah Way road trip which crosses north Australia and is well known as a four wheel drive route, rugged and scenic, remote and sparsely serviced, and for this group of riders it’s also excellent adventure motorcycle country. Mike Beaton, Nevin Wittber and Ben Wittber share a common interest of motorcycles and adventure riding. Over the years they’ve refined their ride into a sort of well oiled machine, everything from route planning on a phone app, to repair gear and parts, and the correct amount of fuel and water required. Trouble at the Bolivian Border - Michnus and Elsebie Olivier

This is Totally Absurd - Keith Futcher

It all started when Keith Futcher saw a glossy photo in a glossy magazine that ignited a desire to ride a motorcycle to the Sahara to see a sunrise. Except Keith didn’t own a motorcycle, neither did his brother or his friend, both of whom were planning to go with him. Furthermore, they had no riding experience, and certainly none off-road, in fact none of them even possessed a licence to ride a motorcycle. A Different Kind of Passenger - Jess and Greg Stone

Riding the Great River Road

This summer, in two trips, brothers Jared Andersson and Heath Anderson rode on the Great River Road which follows the course of the Mississippi River from northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. Heath says their different approaches made the trip better, and while Jared is good at details, he tends to ‘jump in, screw up and jump in again until I get it right”. But, together they set out with a purpose of experiencing the Mississippian cultures and places that are testament to the pre-Columbian world, long erased and forgotten. Visiting sites of the early native people, ancient mound sites, eating walleye and looking for wild rice made for stories to be shared of self-discovery, and an appreciation for the lands and people, both past and present.
